CRAFT BEER FACTS!

Getting Head is a good thing!

In case of beers it's the froth or foam that will help with enhancing beer aroma and presentation while protecting it from loosing the carbonation. Basically not let it oxidise and stay fresh!

Beer belly is a folly!

On an average a pint might be close to 100-150 calories so your beer belly is probably the result of beer accompaniments. But don't drink empty stomach too as that also is not recommended!

Bring me my beer ice cold!

Traditionally the beers were served warm as there was no refrigeration. Many beers, mostly ales are enjoyed better at room temperature. Bottled beers have been served cold for very different reasons!

Beer is a cheap beverage!

You get what you pay for is very true for beers as well. Craft beers made with high quality ingredients are going to cost higher and anyway they are priced higher because of our small size accompanied by very high tax!

Beers don't get me drunk!

Getting drunk has many aspects rather than just alcoholic content, but yes overall beers have lower ABV, alcohol by volume among all other alcoholic beverages. However for certain craft beers you should be wary!

Draught or draft is dispensing method and does not signify freshness or storage condition. The commercial beers are not really that fresh and those beer towers should definitely be banned as that's not tap beer for sure!

Dark Beers are stronger!

Majority of beers became yellow or pale very recently, courtesy of Industrial revolution. Beers made with roasted malts have darker colour and they do not really signify higher ABV or IBU. Order a dark lagers next time!

Bottled beers have 'Glycerine'

Glycerine is actually a byproduct of fermentation in beer but that along-with certain additive are used extensively to increase shelf life in bottled beer as unfortunately in India we don't to have cold supply chain

Tap beer is fresh beer!
